Temptations

This word is clearly used in "our Father" prayer... loud and clear.... "... lead us not into temptations but deliver us from evil.."

It's clear that if it's used in a prayer in such ways.. it's not a good term at all... Because it's something that we want to avoid. And sometimes it's so easy to advise people on how to avoid temptations.  We have to live in the right pathway of God. We have to keep praying. We have to be true to ourselves.

But sometimes this so-called temptation came in a very subtle way... It's like you are innocent in one second -- the the next second they had you already.

This temptation usually lure you when you think you are strong enough to refuse it, to resist it.

Sometimes it's not always come in a bad way... for example.. you are a truthful person and did all your assignments that's under your responsibility and then someone casually come to you and say... "hey, you've done a good job on it... unlike the previous person .. blablabla..." and suddenly you feel like you are the all righteous of all.. better than the rest. And definitely far better than the previous person that was mention in that conversation.

In fact right then, right there... you fell into boastful pride that unnecessarily carry you to enter another kind of sin.

Most of time, this temptation was so sweet at the beginning, so promising, so relaxing, that it gets all your trust until you know that you're driven away from God and your loved ones...

Knowing that we are human, we are weak being.. we have to extract strength from its source... God Himself. We have to constantly remind ourselves... is what we are doing is according to God's words? Is it according to God's liking? Or will it violate our promises to God?

At the end, life is about choices. We can chose to be weak and surrender to temptations ... or we chose to be strong in God and pass all the sweet, promising, relaxing things that was promised behind that temptations.  Chose and never regret... Walk on and never look back...
